Jumblerant, hope you enjoy these.
It took some skill to get the cars around the curves with any decent amount of speed.
The track wasn't far from the lake, it made a tremendous back drop for some of the shots.

Just about every component that can be changed on a real race car could be changed on these cars. Here is a close up of one of the 2 cars.
Most of the time we were running only 1 or 2 cars, my host invited me back out when his brother in law brings out more cars.....they often 4 cars at a time.
Last image of the car sliding through the curve. That took more skill then I had to drift the cars that way.

Cool pix!
I can drift a car like that if I'm sitting in it, but I dunno if I can while observing from a fixed positon a distance away....
Weer'd,
Thanks, I'm trying to get back into photography.
For a very long interval,I just didn't have the time for it as a hobby. Between working full time, going to school part time (for way too many years) and then marriage and family; it just didn't fit in the schedule.
I'm going to try to pull some of the shoots I've taken over the years and post them. I have some that were taken as part other activities. Now I want to take pictures just to take pictures.
Drifting the cars through the turns was really tough. The speed is deceptive, on more than one occasion the car executed a high speed crash.
BTW Good work on Painting Cliff into a corner today.
Be neat to see where he goes from here.
No matter what we have somthing to hang around his neck
Thanks - great pictures!
i really enjoyed the blog about you and where you are coming from. Looking forward to some great blogs in the future too....
