Just found out about this franchisee of Burger King that deserves our support in my opinion.
Via Drudge Report, comes this great story of the "Memphis-based company called the Mirabile Investment Corporation "

A row between the fast food giant Burger King and one of its major franchise owners has erupted over roadside signs proclaiming "global warming is baloney"....
The dispute began to sizzle last week, when a local newspaper reporter in Memphis, Tennessee, noticed the signs outside two restaurants in the city and contacted the corporation to establish if the message represented its official viewpoint. Burger King's headquarters in Miami said it did not, adding that it had ordered MIC to take the signs down....
McNelis added: "The [restaurant] management team can put the message up there if they want to. It is private property and here in the US we do have some rights. Notwithstanding a franchise agreement, I could load a Brinks vehicle with [rights] I've got so many of them. By the time the Burger King lawyers work out how to make that stick we'd be in the year 2020."
Now, this is a franchise company I can support.
Also, for all the environmentalist out there; I am not disputing the climate of the Earth is changing. What I am disputing is the impact that human activity is having on it and the need to curtail that activity.
I'm all for keeping pollution as low as possible. If you have a different opinion, bring it on. Let's talk about it. I would be glad to hear the arguments for man caused global warming and see the evidence.
Update -- Weer'd Beard in the comments points to an excellent post by Ted of the blog Borepatch on this issue. Great work Borepatch!!

You acknowledge that the climate is changing, but you're disputing that our pumping of millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere has anything to do with it?
Hmmm... I think you just don't WANT TO BELIEVE that our profligate lifestyles can have detrimental effects on the environment. Because as Al says: "it's inconvenient"
Paul,
Our profligate lifestyles? You mean like eating? Driving a car to work? That profligate lifestyle?
I am questioning the extend that man made pollution has on the climate. Especially versus something like the impact the solar activity has on our climate.
if the changes in our environment are due to man made reasons, how do you explain the increasing temperatures on Mars? Is it due to the pollution caused by the two minuscule rovers?
Back in the Dark Ages, when I went to grade school, the teachers were waving newspaper articles that warned of climate change ... the coming of the new ice age. They said we must stop filling the skies with pollution or the sunlight will be blocked. This went on for years. When we had the harsh winters in the late '70s, the experts were all blabbing that we must adjust to the new norm, that longer and colder winters were here to stay.

Ted has some great stuff up on this, Paul.
Oddly enugh I was a Liberal when I entered College, and more conservative when I left (I attended College from '97-2000, just in case you think my experience is Data) Oddly all my ecology courses taught the amout of unethical jumps and bad methods done to support this theory of global climate change (or whatever the name-of-the-day is...which also should have warning bells added. Note that "Natural Selection", "Evolution", and "Continental Drift" are all theories but their names have remained constant since their conception...while I was first discussing this issue as "The Greenhouse Effect" which is never spoken about anymore. Al Gore talked about "Global Warming"....but now he calls it "Climate Change" it's a shell game to hide bad science).
Sorry, there is just too much evedence to support this as Junk science to ignore it.
Also when all scientific predictions have been terribly off, there's a good chance it may not be a sound theory.
Thanks for the shout out, Wee'rd. I like the way you phrased it: unethical jumps and bad methods.
And thanks for the link, Bob.
Ted, you've done some of the most user-friendly rebuttles on the Global Warming Scam. You deserve big credit for it!
Ted,
I'll second Weer'd. That was some of the best, easy to read and understand refutation of "man made" global warming that I've seen.
And I've looked at quite a few trying to understand this.
Great job.
Hey Paul, any comments on Borepatch's work?
Bob, do you think people like Paul want to actually DISCUSS these issues?
Remember, this is a religion not an ideology!
Weer'd,
Some of the do want to discuss it, I'll talk to those folks.
Those that don't want to discuss the issue rationally need to have that information brought into the open.
I'm really tired of the debate being framed and presented in the terms of the anti-freedom crowd.
I want people to see which side is willing to rationally discuss the issue and provide supporting evidence.
That is why I started this blog; so we can point out the trolls - especially people like MikeB. Let's show more of the world who really have their heads in the sand.
I apologise if I got this wrong Paul, but he just waltzed in dropped some dogma and wandered off.
That's the solid fingerprints of a Troll.
If he had attempted to bring some information to the table then a debate was on.
That's not the case here.
Weer'd,
No need to apologize to anyone. You are probably right about Paul.
I just want it on the record, repeatedly, that the folks like us welcome an honest debate on the issues. This issue, 2nd amendment, gay marriage, etc; let's honestly openly discuss it with facts and civility.
When I started researching issues such as RKBA or global warming; I ran into so many pro-ignorance liberal sites that dominated the topic and accused the other side of not wanting to debate it.
I want people searching for information to find sites like yours, like many of the commenters, like mine.
